How my trashy Tuesday night TV taught me I can do anything
It was an innocent Tuesday night. Just me and my trashy TV. Winding down for the day.
There’s this new reality TV show called Camp Getaway. Basically it’s summer camp...but for adults. And girl, let me tell you, debauchery ensues every. damn. episode. (Obvs, it’s trashy TV.)
I wasn’t expecting to take anything away from the show (I mean, unless the takeaway is to drink in moderation), but they dropped a little unsuspecting nugget into my lap.
This particular episode centered around an entrepreneur who (get this) had created an entire business around being a WING WOMAN.
I get it - you’re like... how the fuck does someone make a business out of being a WING WOMAN?
She basically hires herself out to people who need exactly that - a wing woman.
She goes to events with them and helps them network and make connections and meet new people. And she’s established a SUCCESSFUL business doing this!
Maybe it was where my head was at (I had been REALLY focused on my business model and what I had to offer), but then it hit me…
If she can create a successful business being a goddamn wing woman, then I for SURE had a chance at being a successful website designer.
Heck, I felt like I could do anything. So this is your reminder that if there is something you’re REALLY good at, and you have a dream, girl - go out and grab the dang thing…
Nobody does WHAT you do HOW you do it.
